Book Review: The Storyteller By Jodi Picoult

About the book:

The book is basically a  three way story with a high theme of  bakery goodness.

First character we have is Sage a young woman who thinks and blames her self for her mother’s death Who has trust issues and is attractive to men that already are married. She works in a bakery called out daily bread. She goes to a support group where she meets a 95 year old man name Joesph that wants her to kill him.

Next we have Sage’s grandmother name Minka who is a holocaust survivor. We follow her story from the beginning of the war world 2 to the end of it. We find out what happen to her and her Jewish family during the war.

Last we have Minka story that she wrote during the war. About a vampire.

My thoughts about this book:

I really like Minka’s story and felt that the author should have just done her story. I feel we really didn’t need to know Sage’s story at all. It was a little dry in parts and had a surprising ending.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
