Books I Read Last Week #1

Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have been away for a few weeks. My youngest daughter went to a reading and writing day camp. So I had to get her up and ready to catch the bus to her camp. She had lots of fun and it improved her printing skills.

I have read 3 books this past week.

187811

The Mediator: Shadowland By Meg Cabot.

My thoughts:

I love a lot of books by Meg Cabot and thought I would give her paranormal series a chance. I pick up the full series last year and never cracked into it.  I was okay. I enjoyed how different it was from paranormal books but I didn’t love it. There was a lot of dry parts and time I would put the book down for a few days till I picked it up again.

I give this book 3 stars out of 5 stars.

Hercules: Storming Paradise By Rik Hoskin.

My thoughts:

I really love this series growing up along Xena warrior princess.  The book was great in my option.  It read just like a episode on the tv show. I could image Kevin Sorbo and Micheal Hurst going on adventure as Hercules and Iolaus.  I found the story interesting and love the idea of a party gone wrong. That is all I can say without spoiling the book.

I gave this book 5 stars out of 5 stars.

6398972

Ford Country By John Grisham.

My thoughts:

This book is a collection of short stories that take place in Ford County. My fave. ones are  Blood Drive, Casino and Funny boy.

I gave this book 3 stars out of 5 stars.

Episode on Netflix: 36

About:

Things get hot in the kitchen when Oscar Han , a lively young chef, starts mixing up trouble under the nose of disciplined Chef Fang Xiao Rou . But as these complete opposites struggle to create mesmerizing meals, they eventually discover that cooking with gas requires more than technical skills and bravado. In fact, romance just may be the secret ingredient Oscar and Xiao Rou have been searching for all along.

My thoughts:

I really love the show for the first 30 episodes but after that I just want it to end. I enjoyed the many couples that end up together. I also love the fact it was a cooking school.

I give it 3 stars out of 5 stars.

Video Game Review: 911 Operator

download (1)

Publisher: Sonka

Game Type: Simulation

System I Played On: Nintendo Switch

Hours I Played: 5 Hours

Price Of Game: $ 19.49 for regular edition and $28.49 for deluxe edition

Description: In 911 Operator, you take on the role of an emergency dispatcher, who has to rapidly deal with the incoming reports. Your task is not just to pick up the calls, but also to react appropriately to the situation – sometimes giving first aid instructions is enough, at other times a police, fire department or paramedics’ intervention is a necessity. Keep in mind that the person on the other side of the line might turn out to be a dying daughter’s father, an unpredictable terrorist, or just a prankster. Can you handle all of this?

My thoughts:

My issues is with the game is how it badly glitch while playing. It was hard to click on the police, firetruck and ambulance to get them to the location you want to go.  It also said there was a emergency but you could send help there but they would say there is nothing there.  Also the game would freeze a lot.

What I like about the game: It had a wide range of vehicles to choose from and lots of cities to help. I also thought the voice acting was top notch for this game.

With all that is great in the game sadly this game is disappoint with all the things wrong.  As the saying goes the bad out weights the good.

I give this game 5 stars out of 10 stars.

download

Publisher: RYUJI KUWAKI

Game Type: Puzzle

System I Played On: Nintendo Switch

Hours I Played: 75 Hours

Price Of Game: $6.59 Canadian

My thoughts: When I first saw this game on the nintendo 3ds. I thought no way will I play this game or buy this game. But I saw it on the nintendo switch and saw the promo youtube ad for it and I knew I need it in my life. Here we are 75 hours later.

It is a casual puzzle game where you combine same color squares to up grade house to level 10 to combine the level 10 house to make new bigger buildings.  This game is really addictive.

The only down side is when the challenges are all finish you crave more.  I hope they will publish SubaraCity 2.

I give this game 8 stars out of 10 stars.

Movie Review: Captain Marvel

tt4154664

Rating: PG -13

Movie Length: 125 mins

Description;  Carol Danvers is trained by the Kree empire to help them to defeat a evil race know as the Skrulls.

My Opinion:   I decide to do a review here since Rotten Tomatoes don’t care about honest reviews on their site.

I was disappoint with the lack of chemistry between characters. I feel that Carol Danvers had a better relationship with her best friend’s daughter then with her best friend. The cat was the best part of the movie. This movie didn’t feel like a women power movie to me.

I give this movie 2 stars out of 5 stars.
