Game review: Not A Normal Lost Phone

Hello Everyone and Happy Easter,

I bought this game for my birthday yesterday expecting a horror phone base game but got something quite different. If I knew what type of game it was. I won’t have bought and this is what researching a game before buying is all about. I am going to hang my head in shame.  So lets get started.

About the game:

It is a coming out story about a boy name Sam who wants to become a girl name Samira, Yes it is a transgender game.

My thoughts:

I had no idea when I was cruising the nintendo switch site that I was buying a LGQBT game.  Since it was not listed as a LGQBT on the site. To be honest I thought I was getting a horror are you there stalking your phone game. To my surprise it was not that.  It played for a hour when you find out what happen to Sam or Samira.

The graphics were great and I really don’t see how it will help trans people at all. But that is my thoughts.

Rating: I will give this game a solid 3 stars out of 5 stars.

Cost: 6.99 on Nintendo Switch

Weekly Book Reads #2 Part One Of Three

Hello everyone and new followers,

This week I read quite a bit of books. That I had to break it down to three parts.

417AAC50-EA62-4E34-ADDD-2CAABB63B770-1207-000000D4ADC39674

About the book:

A Texas Ranger must protect the daughter of a serial killer from becoming his next victim…

Breaking into the home of the woman who shared his bed three months ago isn’t Weston Cade’s usual MO. But the Texas Ranger is on a personal vendetta to catch a killer, and Addie Crockett is the man’s biological daughter. The beautiful rancher also happens to be carrying Wes’s child…

Addie can’t remember her birth father, but she’ll never forget the lover who took her to bed — and then disappeared. Now she has to trust Wes with her life. And the life of their unborn baby. As desire reignites, Addie quickly discovers that with this lawman by her side, she just might escape the target on her back.

My thoughts:

I feel the author crammed  to much into this one book to the point it didn’t make any sense. I wish she would have done a multi book series.

I gave this book one star out of 5 stars.

E001EDCA-9281-4342-8A35-58F9FCC726F5-1207-000000D5E64BA28A

About the book:

After her parents marriage ends. Faith starts seeing God. People are trying to prove that she doesn’t see god and that god is not a women.

My thoughts:

I found I enjoyed the first half of the book but after the last half. It turned into a extremely disappointing read.

I give this book 2 stars out of 5 stars.

About the book:

Her name is Binti, and she is the first of the Himba people ever to be offered a place at Oomza University, the finest institution of higher learning in the galaxy. But to accept the offer will mean giving up her place in her family to travel between the stars among strangers who do not share her ways or respect her customs.

Knowledge comes at a cost, one that Binti is willing to pay, but her journey will not be easy. The world she seeks to enter has long warred with the Meduse, an alien race that has become the stuff of nightmares. Oomza University has wronged the Meduse, and Binti’s stellar travel will bring her within their deadly reach.

If Binti hopes to survive the legacy of a war not of her making, she will need both the gifts of her people and the wisdom enshrined within the University, itself – but first she has to make it there, alive.

I like the first half of the novella but half way through. I just wanted the book to end. I found this book is not for me at all.

I give this book 2 stars out of 5 stars.

Weekly Book Reads #1

Hello everyone,

Long time since I have been blogging. I have been a very busy person.  I decide to do a weekly book reads blog. So even when I am super busy with life. You guys will get to see what I at least have been reading for that week.

So a quick life update. I end up getting a Nintendo Switch which was kindly bought for me by my family. They were sure sneaky about it. My husband put away his coffee speaking money away for a year to buy it for me. When I notice he open a new saving account on our bank account. He said I am saving up my coffee money for a new computer.  He really did fool me. It was to be a Christmas gift but all the stores didn’t have a copy of super Mario odyssey. Which I love and finished last month. I will have a review on that later on.

So let’s get my reading week started.

9A4A6EB4-7F88-4F35-AE8A-CE9363D78AB9-234-00000008C8031E73

About the book:

Keita Ali is an elite runner living in Zantoroland, a poor, fictional island that
is erupting in political violence. When his father, a journalist, is murdered,
Keita escapes to the wealthy nation of Freedom State—an imagined country
much like our own. A stateless refugee without documentation, Keita must
hide from the authorities even as he races marathons to support himself and
ransom his sister who has been kidnapped. This tension-filled novel by the
best-selling author of Someone Knows My Name is an astute exploration of
dislocation, starting all over again, and the desperate need for home and
community.

My thought:

To be honest I thought it could have been better with less points of view. I didn’t enjoy this book at all.

I give this book 2 stars out of 5 stars.

EB33C362-A10D-4B6C-AE2C-386C81AE3124-234-0000000A4764FA10

About the book:

Faith Sunderly leads a double life. To most people, she is reliable, dull, trustworthy – a proper young lady who knows her place as inferior to men. But inside, Faith is full of questions and curiosity, and she cannot resist mysteries: an unattended envelope, an unlocked door. She knows secrets no one suspects her of knowing. She knows that her family moved to the close-knit island of Vane because her famous scientist father was fleeing a reputation-destroying scandal. And she knows, when her father is discovered dead shortly thereafter, that he was murdered.

In pursuit of justice and revenge, Faith hunts through her father’s possessions and discovers a strange tree. The tree bears fruit only when she whispers a lie to it. The fruit of the tree, when eaten, delivers a hidden truth. The tree might hold the key to her father’s murder – or it may lure the murderer directly to Faith herself.

My thoughts:

The book was really well written. Well the first half of the book was anyways. I felt the who done it was rushed a bit too quickly. It didn’t flow well after that part.

I give 3 stars out of 5 stars.

Adult Fantasy Book Review: Hiddensee By Gregory Maguire

Trigger warnings for suicide, rape and gay content.

34216942

Pages: 283

First line: Once there was a boy who lived in a cabin in the deep woods with no one for company but an old woman and an old man.

About the book:

In this imaginative novel rooted in the rich soil of early-nineteenth-century German Romanticism, beloved New York Times bestselling author Gregory Maguire twins an origin legend of the famous Nutcracker with the life of Drosselmeier, the toymaker who carves him.

My thoughts:

Wow. Was this book based on sex of all kinds? *Thinks about it* Yes, it was pretty much the theme.  So those who love the original story of the nutcracker this book is not for you. I will wait to make sure you don’t read any farther. I am going to leave a happy meme down below before those who can and do not want to read the rest of the review.

ddf01647dda99e9429a626f75e1066a8

So anyways back to the book review. This is a retelling which a walnut is compared to a woman vagina and the nut cracker stand  for a man’s penis. Through out the book there was a lot of sexual content and when I say a lot I mean 75%.  We only get the nutcracker story in the last three chapters.

I gave this book 3 stars out of 5 stars.
